Hope your day (or night) is going good depending on what part of the world you are on. Here you will find links to the various places My time has to be managed a bit more these days because of my current relationship. She supports my interest and encourages me to go and have fun and my own time. She is more than willing to go with me ---- when it is not 1.2 billion degrees! I try and kayak once a month {not having much success lately} and sometimes return to the same location if I'm after a certain subject or topic. Every area you go kayaking / hiking has its own beauty and strengths. The time of year is a huge factor and you really have to return to location several times in various conditions to finds its strength. The old saying it is Location, Location, Location is so true and NOT returning several times to a location before you decide it sucks, will cause you to miss out on a lot. My personal favorite place is the Wekiva River, Florida I have been there countless times and never get tired of it. It made me realize why I love this beautiful planet. last edit 4-15-2012

ANY ALLIGATOR RUN INS? 03-04-08 Wekiwa River (1 OF 6 STORIES)

An 8 foot gator came off a log and had no where to go but into me. I was hugging and large section of Lilly pads focus on a small 4 foot gator getting somne pics and when I cleared them she was right there not 5 feet away. I had no time to pull away and she jumped into the water but struck my kayak on the way in. Her head hit the front left side and tail went over the back and right side causing me to lean hard right but know her weight was about to come off and trying to compensate to avoid a flipover I leaned back hard left. No idea how I managed to keep from rolling over and it was a very rough ride. A 300mm lens and flash were ejected into the Wekiva river and I lost one DSLR to a water shot.
